Location

Sails Resort is on the Northern end of Golden Beach at Caloundra. Our great location offers swimming, fishing, boating (the boat ramp is 50m away in Leach Park), canoeing, windsurfing, parasailing, golf, skydiving, horseracing at Corbould Park… and the list goes on. On the waterfront is the Coastal Pathway where you can walk, ride or skate. Nearby are restaurants and cafes. Free courtesy buses are available that will pick-up and deliver to the local clubs.

How To Get Here

Sails Resort is located on Golden Beach at Caloundra, just an easy one hour drive north of Brisbane’s domestic and international airports. Take the Gateway Arterial Motorway from the airport, travelling north for 50 minutes (following the signs to the Sunshine Coast), then take the Caloundra turnoff. Caloundra is a further 10-minute drive.
At Caloundra, turn right at the traffic lights opposite Stockland Shopping Centre into Park Place. Sails Resort is the first building 100 meters on the left at 3 Landsborough Parade opposite North Street.
The Sunshine Coast Airport is just north of Maroochydore and is mainly for Domestic flights. From here it is about a 30-minute drive south to Sails Resort. Caloundra also has a small airport but this is for light aircraft only. We can also arrange transfers for you from both airports.

Things To Do

You’ll discover there are many things to do on the Sunshine Coast.

We have a heated swimming pool and spa next to the barbecue and outdoor dining area. There is a waterfront park at our back fence where you can fly a kite, kick a ball, fish, paddle or launch a kayak. A sandy calm water beach is about 300m to the south and also a children’s’ playground on the waterfront a bit further on.

You can hire tinnies, sailboats and surf-skis from the iconic Bills Boat Hire just down the road. Bulcock Beach is a 10-minute walk and Kings Beach 25 minutes. Australia Zoo is a 20-minute drive, Big Kart Track is 15 minutes, and Aussie World and the old Ettamogah Pub now rebranded to Banana Benders Pub. A coastal path to Diamond Head passing the Caloundra Power Boat Club is a nice level walk or ride for an hour or two. The Club also runs a courtesy bus for patrons.

Eumundi Markets are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sundays are for the Bulcock St Markets and breakfast at the many cafes in the Caloundra CBD. Caloundra Cruises have eco and sunset trips in Pumicestone Passage or you could hop off at the Pelican Waters Tavern where you can lunch at leisure. The Caloundra RSL has a comprehensive entertainment program only 1 kilometre from Sails Resort, also serviced by a courtesy bus.

You can find some of these attractions at www.queenslandholidays.com and remember we can book any tours or airport transfers at no extra cost.
The Hinterland offers a refreshing change with forest walks, wineries, galleries, cheese factory, even more restaurants and quaint shopping at Montville, Maleny and Kenilworth.
If you just want to stay in and relax you could just sit on your balcony and watch the ships go by and in season see the whales cavorting just beyond the Caloundra bar and Bribie Island.
